Peter Gill is a British forensic geneticist whose research has shaped modern DNA profiling and interpretation in criminal investigations. Widely recognized as a pioneer in forensic DNA analysis, he has contributed to establishing international standards for DNA evidence and advancing techniques for interpreting complex genetic mixtures.

Claude Roux is an Australian-based forensic scientist and academic known for advancing forensic science as a research-based discipline. A Distinguished Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, he founded and directs its Centre for Forensic Science, shaping the nation’s first undergraduate and PhD programs in this field. Roux is internationally recognized for his contributions to forensic methodology, education, and policy.

Full Professor of Forensic Medicine at the University of Milan (La Statale), also teaching Anthropology, and is Director of LABANOF, Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology and Odontology and of MUSA (University Museum of Anthropological, Medical and Forensic Sciences for Human Rights). A consultant and expert for various courts in Italy and Europe for forensic and anthropological issues and involved with the Office of the Extraordinary Commissioner for Missing Persons in the identification of migrants who died at sea. She deals with living victims of sexual and domestic violence, the forensic evaluation of asylum seekers who are victims of torture and unaccompanied foreign minors.

In 2021 she was among the most cited forensic scientists internationally and is co-Editor in Chief of the journal “Forensic Science International”.

Winner of the Adelaide Medal, a scientific recognition of the International Academy of Forensic Sciences, and of the Clyde Snow Award of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences for her work and research in forensic and humanitarian sciences.
